The Br. David Brennan, FSC, Tuition Assistance Program

The Br. David Brennan, FSC, Tuition Assistance Program offers tuition assistance grants for families with annual income at or below the federal guidelines for the reduced lunch program (185% of the federal poverty level). As a Catholic school in the Lasallian tradition Justin-Siena is called to assist a minimum of 5% of the student body through this program. Justin-Siena has an obligation to make Lasallian education accessible to families who desire it, yet cannot afford it.

Concord, California

Bishop John S. Cummins Scholarship Program

All Lasallian schools on the West Coast are responding to a mandate from the De La Salle Institute, their parent organization, that at least 5 percent of their student bodies be from families whose income does not exceed 185 percent of the federal poverty level. (This is the same income level that would qualify a student for the Federal Reduced Lunch Program. As of 2011, this would mean a family of four making $41,348 or less.) To serve such families, De La Salle High School has established the Bishop John S. Cummins Scholarship Program, a comprehensive effort to ensure that students with severely limited financial means can experience the educational excellence offered at De La Salle.

The Piro Program

Named in memory of Sister Teresa Piro, DC, who dedicated her life to helping the vulnerable and marginalized, SHC established the Piro Program in 2004 to honor our mission of making quality Catholic education accessible to the poor. The Piro Program aspires to end the cycle of poverty one family at a time by providing a Lasallian and Vincentian education to those in need. Piro scholars receive nearly full tuition assistance and tremendous personal and academic support. The projected cost to support 75 Piro scholars for the 2013-14 school year is approximately $1.8 million.

When you harvest the grapes in your vineyard, do not go over the vines again. Leave what remains for the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow.     -Deuteronomy 24, Verse 21:
